Caroline Chaloner, PT, DPT, PCS

MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Portland

Caroline Chaloner, PT, DPT, PCS, is a Lead Physical Therapist at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME. She the primary physical therapist in the Pediatric Cystic Fibrosis Clinic at MaineHealth Pediatric Specialty Care. Caroline received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Duke University in 2014 and has been working with pediatric and adult patients with CF in the acute care setting since that time. She has been seeing patients in the pediatric CF clinic at MaineHealth since 2016. Caroline and her colleague Jessica Takatsuki-Jordan were selected for the CFF Award for a Physical Therapist in 2019. Their focus was on QI work addressing patient/family satisfaction with PT services in CF clinic and management of urinary incontinence in the pediatric CF population. Caroline has served as a mentor for the CFF PT mentoring program. She is the PT representative on the CFF Guidelines Steering Committee, currently in her second term. Caroline has had the pleasure of presenting for several years at NACFC in various capacities. In her clinical role at the hospital, she practices predominantly in the NICU setting with an emphasis on extremely low birth weight infants and neurodevelopmental care. In addition, Caroline is the primary PT in the MaineHealth MDA clinic, specializing in evaluation and management of patients with spinal muscular atrophy.
