Annie (she/her) graduated from the Toronto Metropolitan University, Ontario after earning her Social Work Degree which focused on working with older persons and individuals new to Canada. She has since further specialized in both healthcare and mental health. She is fully licensed to provide social work services in Ontario and is a registered social worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She has worked with various medical populations however for the past 20+ years she has worked as a Respirology Social Worker at Unity Health Toronto - St. Michael's Hospital in the Heart, Lung, Vascular & Neurology Program with a concentration in the Adult Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Centre. She has experience working with adults of all ages and families who live with the impact of CF. She uses several therapeutic modalities to inform her practice in a strength-based, person-centred approach. She views the counselling process as an alliance between client and therapist and considers her clients as the experts of their lives. Annie is excited to bring her insights, experience, and passion for improving the lives of individuals with CF to the 2026 North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference.
