Heather Fisher, MS, CGC

UT Southwestern Medical Center

Heather Fisher, MS, CGC, is a Faculty Associate and Genetic Counselor Manager in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology’s Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. She leads the Reproductive Genetics team and specializes in genetic counseling for patients who are pregnant or planning a pregnancy. Heather earned her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling in 2009 at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. She spent 10 years working as a prenatal genetic counselor in Manhattan and the San Francisco Bay Area. She also worked for several years in the pediatric genetics and Down syndrome clinics at Children’s Medical Center Dallas before joining UT Southwestern in 2022. In her current role, she has grown the Reproductive Genetics team from 1 to 5 genetic counselors and is passionate about expanding acess to prenatal genetic counseling for patients throughout North Texas.
