Winnie Henman is a 28 year old who has Cystic Fibrosis. She was diagnosed with CF at age 2 and has been receiving care under Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital ever since. She graduated from college in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Supervision and an Associate of Applied Business in Hospitality Management.
Winnie pursued being a Wedding Coordinator during college and shortly after she graduated, but with the COVID lockdown, weddings were not happening in the traditional sense, so she made a career change. She landed a job in non-profit working for an organization that served human trafficking victims and survivors. She worked with minors ages 9-17+ in a mentoring program, and mentored them as they went through the court system to receive other help and services. Winnie married her husband Landon in 2021 in a small elopement out in Valley of Fire, Nevada. They've been married for almost 5 years.
Winnie worked at for her organization for 4 years before getting pregnant in 2024 with their first child, and stepped down to stay at home with their baby. She gave birth in August of that year and brought her sweet baby girl into the world in the comfort of her own home with a home birth.
Winnie now stays at home full time with her daughter and their miniature dachshund Oaty. Her baby comes with her to every doctor’s appointment at Rainbow, and loves getting to meet Winnie’s CARE Team there.
