Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital Memorial Healthcare System
Angel Wooden, MS, CGC, is a certified genetic counselor at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital in Hollywood, Florida. She works within the Pediatric and Adult Genetics Department and the Cystic Fibrosis Center, providing genetic counseling and care coordination for individuals and families affected by genetic conditions. In 2025, Angel established the hospital's multidisciplinary Cystic Fibrosis Newborn Screening Clinic, which serves a large population of infants identified through newborn screening, including many with CFTR-related metabolic syndrome (CRMS). Through her work with this patient population, she has developed specialized expertise in the evaluation, counseling, and long-term follow-up of individuals with CRMS and serves as a regional resource on the topic.
