CEO, Transformative Justice Solutions
Katherine is a CF patient and double lung transplant survivor. She holds a Master of Science in Criminology and is the CEO of Transformative Justice Solutions, a social justice consultancy in Washington, DC. Katherine is a published author and the creator of Spit It Out, a bilingual storytelling training for people living with cystic fibrosis. She is also a producer of the podcast Bold Enough to Ask, which covers CF sexual and reproductive health. She serves on the Mary Kontos Care Champion Award Selection Committee, and formerly the CFF Success with Therapies Research Consortium Steering Committee. Her publications include With Every Breath: Stories by and about people living with cystic fibrosis [2016] and Shapes of Water: coming of age with cystic fibrosis [2012]. Her second poetry chapbook, "Bottleneck," is forthcoming in 2027. For fun, she dances tango, jams on the cello, and is currently engaged in a nomad year.
