Dr. Martha A. Gallegos is a third year fellow in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Arizona. Prior to her arrival to Tucson, she served as Chief Resident at the University of Louisville, she earned her MD from the University of New Mexico. Her dedication to clinical care is rooted in a strong commitment to patient advocacy and the empowerment of underserved communities, a mission shaped by her early life experiences.She is deeply about medical education and mentoring the next generation of physicians. Dr. Gallegos also maintains an interest in specialized clinical and research focus on advanced lung disease, including her current work investigating the effects of Highly Effective Modulator Therapy in patients with Cystic Fibrosis.
