Lung transplantation remains the definitive treatment for people with cystic fibrosis (PwCF) with advanced lung disease. However, the widespread use of High-Efficiency Modulator Therapy (HEMT) has significantly decreased the overall volume of these transplants. This shift has led to a decline in programmatic and clinical experience across transplant centers. This workshop addresses these evolving dynamics by delivering updates on referral practices, transplant education, multidisciplinary care integration, and long-term complications like cancer as well as reviews the newest updates in the use of HEMT post transplantation in the era of pharmacogenomic testing utilization.
