Dr. Sarah Kiel is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care at the University of Minnesota where she sub specializes in the care of those with pre and post lung transplant as well as those with cystic fibrosis. She did her fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh with a dedicated focus on lung transplantation and cystic fibrosis and returned to the University of Minnesota in 2020. She is a Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) PACE early career award graduate as of 2025 and is the Co-Director of the University of Minnesota’s Adult Cystic Fibrosis Program and Co-Director of the University of Minnesota Cystic Fibrosis Center. She is also serving as the Hertz Adult Lung Transplant Training Program Director with its reestablishment beginning in the summer of 2026. She is the lead site PI on multiple research studies in both PwCF and lung transplant outcomes and also serves as the physician lead for one of the Adult Program's QI groups.
