Amber Elliott, PharmD, BCACP, is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center of San Antonio Pediatric Cystic Fibrosis Center at University Health. She has worked in cystic fibrosis for more than five years and has had the opportunity to train at a couple accredited cystic fibrosis centers during her pharmacy residency. When she joined the UTHSCSA CF Center five years ago, she was the first clinical pharmacist on both the pediatric and adult teams. With the center's growth in South Texas and the addition of another clinical pharmacist to the team, she has been able to focus solely on the pediatric population. Her passions within pharmacy care for people with cystic fibrosis include equitable and affordable access to CF medications, transitions of care and expansion of clinical pharmacist roles within CF care teams. Outside of work, Amber enjoys spending time with her husband and son, cooking new recipes, and watching a new TV series!
