With ever increasing knowledge of CFTR, CF genetics providers must stay up to date on current literature and best practices. This discipline group will highlight research efforts relevant to CF genetic counselors and other clinicians. We will review updated data from the MODUL-CF study regarding in utero CFTR modulator therapy and functional studies to elucidate CFTR activity in symptomatic CFTR heterozygotes. Finally, we will close by reviewing the development of a telehealth model for providing CF specialized genetic counseling care.
