The Nuts & Bolts session is a day-long special class designed for new CF healthcare providers of any discipline. It will provide a broad overview of CF, including pulmonary aspects of the disease, airway clearance techniques, CF nutritional issues, CF microbiology, adult self-care issues, and some of the psychosocial aspects of living life with CF. The class culminates with a panel of CF parents and family members discussing living day to day with CF. The class will serve as a basic foundation of information for the new clinician that can be built upon throughout the rest of the conference.
