Dr Gemma Stanford (PhD) is a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in Adult Cystic Fibrosis (CF) at the Royal Brompton Hospital, London where she has worked since 2005. Gemma is the Lead Co-ordinating Investigator for the current YOGA-CF trial which is investigating the effects of yoga for adults with CF. Gemma is the AHP Research Lead for the Heart, Lung and Critical Care Group of GSTT supporting research careers for AHPs, exercise physiologists and psychologists. She is an Honorary Research Fellow at the NHLI, Imperial College, London and has published and presented internationally on several aspects of physiotherapy and CF care including non-invasive ventilation, outcome measures, airway clearance and the challenges of ageing. Gemma is the representative for professions allied to health on the European CF Society board and part of the international REACH for CF collaboration.
