Linda C. Cummings, MD, MS is a gastroenterologist at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center and an Associate Professor of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. She completed medical school at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and internal medicine residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. During her gastroenterology fellowship at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, she obtained a master’s degree in clinical research from Case Western Reserve University. Her clinical interests include cystic fibrosis, H. pylori, and colorectal cancer screening. She was one of the second set of recipients of the DIGEST award from the CF Foundation to gain expertise in the gastrointestinal care of persons with CF. She sees adult patients with digestive issues in the cystic fibrosis center at University Hospitals/Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital. She has served as a speaker or moderator at the North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference over the past several years. She was a site principal investigator for the NICE-CF study on noninvasive colorectal cancer screening in cystic fibrosis. She is a Fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American College of Gastroenterology. She currently serves on the Research Committee of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and on the GIQuIC (GI Quality Improvement Consortium) Research Committee.
