S13-- Starting Early: Prenatal CF Diagnosis & Counseling (From Screening to Delivery)

This symposium will explore prenatal CF screening, diagnosis, and care. Current and emerging prenatal diagnosis pathways will be outlined, highlighting what CF teams need to know as methodology evolves. The session will examine the rapidly developing landscape of in utero CFTR modulator therapy-describing various models being used at CF centers to determine candidacy, offer off-label treatment, and monitor maternal and fetal health during treatment, including fetal bowel imaging. Integration of genetic counseling and maternal fetal medicine specialists into prenatal diagnosis and care pathways will be discussed, addressing complex scenarios such as variants of variable clinical consequence and absence of confirmatory fetal genetic testing. Overall, this symposium will highlight strategies to optimize CF care from prenatal screening through delivery.
